We want to support you in finding the facts and information you need to support trans youth.
All youth deserve our love, respect, and care.
Trans, Two-Spirit, and non-binary youth deserve access to the care and support they need to thrive.
However, in recent years, there has been an increase in visibility, attention, and misinformation about gender-affirming care for trans, Two-Spirit, and non-binary youth.
The We Are Allies project aims to create better access to accurate information about gender-affirming care and gender diversity from diverse perspectives.

About We Are Allies
We Are Allies was created in response to increasing mis- and disinformation about gender-affirming care for youth and gender-diversity.
Increased mis- and disinformation have made it difficult to find accurate information about gender diversity, and put the wellbeing of youth at risk. We Are Allies helps connect anyone interested in clarifying what they know with knowledge from people with direct experience and research-based facts – because we all have a role to play as allies to trans, Two-Spirit, and non-binary youth.
The We Are Allies project was created by experts from across Canada, including:
Indigenous knowledge keepers and Elders who shared their teachings with the project
Trans, Two-Spirit and non-binary people, as well as their families and loved ones, who are speaking from their own experiences
Medical and other care providers with experience providing gender-affirming care to young people
Researchers from the University of British Columbia School of Nursing who reviewed published research and created learning resources.
