Ingrid is a cisgender ally.
She grew up in Montreal and moved to Western Canada for training, ultimately drawn to the people and the area where she has lived for over 30 years now. Ingrid’s family medicine practice gradually grew to include more trans, Two-Spirit, and non-binary patients and in 2015 she collaborated with the local health authority and other local partners to start a regional gender clinic. She continues as the Physician Lead of this clinic, and provides training opportunities in gender affirming care to medical learners working to build capacity in the system. In 2024, Ingrid took on the medical director role for a provincial program involved in improving gender-affirming healthcare. In her local area, she is the co-lead of a diversity and inclusion advocacy group for physicians. In her off time, she enjoys hiking, running and biking in the mountains and forests with her family and friends, reading a good book or sitting around a campfire.
